What makes up a good package design?

The main purpose is to attract the customers’ attention, and convince them to buy. Impulse purchasing makes up almost 75 percent of the consumer spending.

Packaging design can’t just be informative, it needs to provoke emotions. A great package design looks attractive on the shelf and shows creativity. Color plays a very important role as well as the package it’s self. For example, for the beverage company, Seves, we selected a bottle that was practical but also had a visually appealing shape. We also selected vibrant colors, and vivid photographs to entice the appetite.

One of the key factors is keeping your design cost effective. Companies are looking to save money by making packaging smaller. It is vital to simplify the design and keep only necessary components and information.
